The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, while guiding and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Your role will include:
- Acting as a role model and leading shifts to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Building strong, positive relationships with young people
- Supporting education, leisure activities, and daily routines
- Contributing to care planning and safeguarding responsibilities
What we're looking for
- You must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in residential childcare
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour with resilience and professionalism
- Flexibility to work long day shifts (7am-10pm) and participate in sleep-ins
