Senior Support Worker Role:
- To take a lead role within a residential care team supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties within a residential care setting.
- Be responsible for the supervision of Residential Support Workers, guiding them in their practice and supporting their development.
- Planning, managing and leading shifts to ensure children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.
- Dealing with challenging behaviour (verbally abusive, possibly threatening behaviour).
- Being a positive role model at all times and maintaining a consistent and responsible approach.
