As a Children's Home Deputy Manager, you'll help lead a caring, therapeutic home where children can recover from trauma, build meaningful relationships and gain the skills and confidence to thrive., You'll spend approximately half of your time supporting young people and leading the team on shift, with the remainder dedicated to office-based responsibilities such as compliance, care planning, staff development, and supporting the overall management of the home.

The Role As Deputy Manager you’ll support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day leadership of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

You will need

  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Good understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Experience supporting and developing staff teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Flexibility to work long day shifts, sleep‑ins, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A full UK driving licence.
