Deputy Manager

Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home Location: South Croydon Salary: £40,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader ready to take the next step? We’re looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our Ofsted-registered children’s home, supporting young people with complex needs and very challenging behaviours. This is a mostly office-based role with some shift-leading responsibilities. You’ll help lead a committed staff team, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care in a safe, structured environment. Responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home * Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to the staff team * Contribute to rota management, staff development, audits, and care planning * Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards * Work directly with young people as needed to support consistency and stability Requirements: * Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Experience working with young people in residential settings * Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour management * Confident in leadership and decision-making * Ability to work flexibly, including occasional shifts What We Offer: * £40,000 annual salary * Supportive leadership team and clear progression opportunities * Ongoing training and professional development * Opportunity to make a real impact on young lives Apply now to take the next step in your career in residential childcare
