We are currently looking for positive, compassionate, and caring Support Workers to join our supported living services in Brighton. We are recruiting for several different services, matching each successful candidate to one service based on the needs of the people we support.

Each of our services offers a family-sized home where between 2 and 4 adults with a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities and autism share their home together. All of our services are very active with activities in the service and in the community. We support all aspects of daily living, helping them to develop their skills and encouraging their independence.

The requirement for candidates with a full UK driving licence is of high importance to streamline the scheduled activities.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the people we support in all areas of their lives and help them to achieve their goals.
  • Participate in providing daily activities for the people we support.
  • Undertake tasks of a domestic nature, e.g. shopping, cooking, laundry, house cleaning with individuals.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the people we support, their relatives, outside agencies, and other professionals.
  • Support individuals in their personal care when appropriate.
  • Support and care for those who can at times display behaviours that others may find challenging.
  • Develop a full knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures pertaining to the people we support, including reports, support plans, and daily recordings.
  • Undertake the role of keyworker for an individual.

Requirements:

Staff work on a shift basis across the week and have a monthly rota; some weekend working is required. Regular sleep-in duties will be required as part of the support worker role; these are paid in addition at £70.00 per sleep-in. Please note that all our positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to adults. A full UK driving licence is preferable.
