Peterhouse Primary Academy is looking for a class teacher to join an experienced and friendly team. This role would suit both an ECT and a teacher with more experience. We are flexible as to which year group the successful candidate will teach in – therefore, this role is ideal for candidates with a passion for either KS1 or KS2. Peterhouse serves a deprived community in Gorleston. The children present with a variety of need and require teachers who are willing to adapt their teaching approach to suit the needs of the learner.
If you are an ECT, we are able to offer experienced mentors and a wide range of CPD and learning opportunities. For more experienced teachers, we offer the opportunity to support a subject area and the chance to develop your skills and specialist areas. We are federated with a second school close by, and can offer cross-school opportunities. Peterhouse is at the heart of its community. We are looking for a teacher who understands this and can become a valuable member of a special team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about providing high-quality teaching to drive pupil progress and success.
- Has knowledge and/or experience of supporting children with a range of additional needs to succeed.
- Will play a full part in the life of the Peterhouse community and support the vision of the school and encourage others to follow this example.
- Will implement and deliver a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum for pupils.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of what constitutes high-quality teaching and learning.
