We are looking for a Business Partner to join our award‑winning central team! The environment is fast‑paced and always changing, presenting an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join the team and make a real difference to how schools manage finances in the future. At PDET, our core vision is for every child within our Trust, to experience an excellent education and realise their God‑given potential to flourish.

The role of a Business Partner at PDET is essential to this, to provide high‑quality financial and commercial advice, support and control to our schools, ensuring the effective allocation of resources and funding, to contribute to overall school and pupil success. Whilst this role is part of the Business Partnering team, the main stakeholders will be the leadership team (normally the Headteacher / Principal) at each allocated school. A BP will be able to provide support and challenge to schools, preparing the management accounts, ensuring IMP Planner (Budget software) is up to date, ensuring the month‑end process is complete and ultimately holding schools to account for their budget, balancing financial sustainability with delivering the best outcomes for children.

You will be joining an effective team already in place. PDET’s Business Partnering Team consists of 8 people, with 6 BPs reporting into 2 Regional Business Partners (RBP). As a Trust of 36 primary schools, we educate over 6000 children. A number of our schools are very small, and this means we need to be smart with the resources we have at our disposal. Recruiting roles like this provides PDET with the best tools to support all our schools, all our staff and all our children.

This is a full‑time role but the number of weeks per year is negotiable. We offer Hybrid working.
