We are looking for a Social Worker who has the child's voice at the heart of everything they do and are committed to working with families in a collaborative and relational way. Our Assessment Teams provide a rewarding but fast-paced environment. We ensure that children, young people, and families in our community receive a positive and timely service, proportionate to their needs and informed by their own expertise. The work is rich, varied, and allows for a high level of multi-agency working, often to tight timelines. You will see positive outcomes quickly and have an opportunity to make a difference for children at the early stages of our involvement.
We have created a space where colleagues can learn and reflect together in Service Workshops and benefit from monthly individual supervisions. We recognise that the job can bring challenges and ensure our Social Workers are well supported. You will have the opportunity to be creative in your work, contribute to Service development, and have your ideas and voice heard. Our social work practice is underpinned by Family Valued principles, placing the voices of children and their families at the heart of our assessments and planning. We use Motivation Interviewing to create change and support families to develop their own solutions.
Our team is supported by Children's Information and Advice Officers (CIAOs) and Business Support, making administrative tasks more manageable. You will also be supported by a permanent Team Manager, providing consistent and reliable leadership. We are looking for experienced and skilled social workers who are enthusiastic about their practice and making a meaningful difference. We work with families in a way that draws on their strengths, respects their rights, and invites their expertise and participation. You must be a qualified and experienced Social Worker with a Social Work England registration and have the ability to work from various locations and travel countywide independently.
Please note: This is a Part-Time post (18.5 hours), therefore salary will be pro-rata based on this.
