The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
Your role will be to support adults with learning disabilities to develop new skills, including woodwork and gardening, while helping them achieve their individual goals in a positive and social environment. You will play a key part in building their confidence and promoting independence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a range of activities within the hub and in the community, such as sessions at the allotment
- Collect pallets and deliver kindling
- Support woodwork and craft activities
- Provide personal care respecting an individual's dignity
- Communicate with families and other professionals involved in individuals' care
- Use IT systems to update records and complete training
Qualifications
- Understanding and experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities
- Ability to help with personal care while respecting an individual's dignity
- Good team working skills and the ability to use initiative
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of two years (driving will be involved using the hub's vehicles)
- Basic IT skills and strong communication abilities
