Contract Term time only (37 hours per week plus 2 weeks)

City College Peterborough is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Business and IT Tutor to join our Study Skills Department. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential. Due to increased demand, this role will involve planning and delivering both Business and IT programmes across a range of levels, while embedding English and Maths into teaching and learning. You will work collaboratively with lecturers and support staff to raise learner attainment and promote social inclusion, confidence, and independence in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in Business and IT
  • Ability to teach multiple topics if required
  • Establish effective working relationships with young people
  • Monitor, support and record learner progress including updating ProMonitor
  • Provide innovative and stimulating training
  • Work as part of a team to achieve timely results
  • Provide a flexible approach to learning support and handle situations with tact, empathy, and professionalism
  • Experience working with learners with SEND is desirable but not essential
