Responsibilities
- Supervise and support pupils in the learning environment, assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.
- Ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn.
- Create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
- Support the teacher in management of pupil behaviour and tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy.
- Build supportive and respectful relationships with children while maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly.
- Understand the learning and pastoral needs of primary children.
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
- Prepared to undertake appropriate CPD including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
- Commitment to safeguarding of children’s welfare.
- Experience working within an EYFS background desirable.
