Freeman's Endowed Junior CE Academy is a friendly, inclusive, nurturing school with a big family feel, where everyone is treated with kindness, respect and understanding - our children love coming to school every day! Our staff work incredibly hard to provide an ambitious curriculum so that our children receive the best possible education. We are proud of our close links with St Barnabas School, which is our feeder infant school. Additionally, both schools are led and managed by the same Headteacher and Leadership Team. Our supportive leadership team are highly considerate of staff wellbeing and workload and strive to promote a positive working environment.

We have a rare opportunity to join our school and we have two positions available to join our family in September as follows:

  • Contract 1 - 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year on a permanent basis
  • Contract 2 - 16.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2026

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has:

  • Previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Personal commitment to ongoing professional development.

Freeman's is a proud member of PDET, alongside 35 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support, facilities and premises, procurement and school effectiveness.
