Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
Full‑time Teaching Assistant (1:1 support for named child). Start date as soon as possible.
Salary: SCP 3‑4; actual salary £17,418.24 to £17,685.70. Contract: 30.25 hours per week for 39 weeks per year, fixed term until 20th July 2025.
St James CE Primary School is a relationships‑led, two‑form entry primary school in the heart of Northampton. Part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), we have a strong Christian ethos and a county‑wide commitment to children with SEMH needs through our specialist unit. This role will support a child with SEMH challenges within our mainstream setting.
We Are Looking For

- An excellent practitioner with relevant qualifications and/or experience to support children with behaviour challenges and a willingness to undertake CPD to develop key skills.
- An individual with understanding and experience working with children with SEMH difficulties in mainstream or specialist settings, responding positively and patiently to the challenges.
