St Mary’s C of E Primary School, a PDET Academy, is seeking a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join our community and contribute to the lives of our children. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until April 2026, covering maternity leave, with a start date in September 2025.

St Mary’s is a very special school that has served the town of Burton Latimer since 1581, placing Christian values at the heart of everything we do. We aim to offer a well-balanced, engaging and relevant curriculum, allowing our children to dream, believe, and achieve.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn.
  • Has proven experience in delivering the EYFS curriculum in a creative and tailored way.
  • Has experience teaching children with a range of academic, SEND and well-being needs within an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Is confident in using a range of behaviour management strategies.
  • Is committed to supporting, motivating, and challenging the learning of children of all abilities.
  • Can contribute to our school community as a Teacher and a Team Member.
  • Is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
  • Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to safeguarding children’s welfare.
