About the role
We seek a friendly, enthusiastic, professional Teaching Assistant who understands the learning and pastoral needs of primary children.
The role involves supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment and assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn.
- Create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
- Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour and address challenging behaviour with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow the school’s Code of Conduct.
- Build supportive and respectful relationships with children and the community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly.
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
- Prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop skills, including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
- Understanding of Child Protection and a commitment to safeguarding children’s welfare.
- Subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks before interview.
