About the School
We are a small, village school that prides itself on the approach to all aspects of school life being founded in our school values of love, fellowship and respect. We have a passion and love for nature, and outdoor learning is part of the curriculum offer for all children in the school. The learning environments both inside and outside the school are inviting, engaging and nurturing. We show our love of God’s natural world through our creation themed internal decoration and external offerings of Forest School, an outdoor classroom and covered learning areas.
Responsibilities
- Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
- Will ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn
- Will create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
- Will support the teacher in management of pupil behaviour and understand how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy
- Is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school
- Understands our children and our community and can build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct
- Prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training
- Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare - both at home and in school
- An understanding and experience of working within an EYFS role would be desirable
