St James CE Primary School, a relationships‑led primary school in the heart of Northampton, part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET), seeks an inspiring individual to lead the PARC SEMH Nurture provision.
Responsibilities
- Support the Inclusion and Behaviour Assistant Head by meeting regularly, attending HARPS meetings, onboarding cycles with schools, parents, and new pupils; following the Nurture Timeline; liaising for paperwork; collating information for reports; attending staff meetings; supporting reintegration processes; attending review meetings; identifying training opportunities; delivering training to the Nurture team.
- Support home schools and parents by providing feedback during meetings; advising on specific pupil needs; ensuring information is passed on.
- Run the PARC SEMH Nurture provision by leading morning team meetings; safeguarding checks; overseeing planning cycles; completing regulation response plans; delegating roles; coaching the team on emotion coaching strategies; providing cover during absences and training; coordinating the nurture team during post/preplacement time; coaching principles of nurture.
- Support pupils by teaching classes daily to build relationships; liaising with the Assistant Head on team training and development; assisting the Nurture team with pupils needing emotional support; using behaviour management strategies; challenging and empowering pupils.
