This role presents a unique opportunity to help address the needs of our children and their families, to help overcome barriers to learning.
Requirements & Experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with various members of the school community, including agencies, school staff, children and parents, serving as a pivotal support link.
- Commitment to child protection, safeguarding children’s welfare at home and in school.
- Capability to promote effective relationships between home and school life for both children and parents.
- Knowledge of opportunities and resources to support children and families in need.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with community groups and organisations, ensuring families receive essential support.
- Understanding of procedures and systems involved in the role, including social services, child protection, Education Welfare Service policies and reporting standards.
- Approachable, controlled and focused manner, maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude when dealing with challenging situations and audiences.
- Previous experience working with children and their families.
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently, with initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
- Keen interest in supporting the ethos of a Church school.
