St. Andrew's is a Christian values-led, highly popular school and nursery in the heart of Kettering and is part of the Peterborough Diocese Academy Trust (PDET). We're proud of the way children not only make great progress in their learning, but also how we take such pride in developing our children's character and behaviour. Children are at the heart of every decision we make as we strive to serve and better our community.

Following a recent successful OFSTED inspection in 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good, and inspectors commented: "This is an extremely inclusive and welcoming school. Pupils get on well with each other. They are caring and kind. They enjoy positive relationships with staff. Staff hold pupils’ interests at the heart of all that they do."

We are proud to be recruiting for a knowledgeable, inspiring, passionate and professional teacher to join our team. The role of a teacher in the lives of both the children and wider community is a vital and special responsibility. We are therefore looking to appoint a candidate who shares in our passion and values, supplemented by thorough knowledge and effective experience, to deliver the very best education for all.

We Are Looking For:

  • An excellent teacher who has received ‘good’ or better grades in recent observations
  • An outstanding, passionate teacher who has high expectations for children’s learning, and can foster collaborative working and live our values every day
  • A person who builds excellent relationships with children and parents; demonstrating our values when interacting with them
  • Is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their potential
  • Has the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies in order to support pupils’ smooth transition into school
  • Is confident in leading a team, developing the vision and having the drive to move it forward
  • Able to create a stimulating and inviting learning environment adapted to suit the needs of the pupils
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school

We Can Offer You:

  • A school that is committed to the importance of developing children’s creativity, imagination and love of learning.
  • A forward‑thinking, creative school that prides itself in supporting and encouraging professional development to ensure you are successful and continue to grow as an educator and leader.
  • A school that believes in kindness, love and Christian values that underpins our approach to the whole school community.
  • An exciting opportunity to work within an aspirational SLT team that wants to embrace your talents and skills.
  • Excellent CPD through being part of the Peterborough Diocesan Academy (PDET).
