Student Inclusion and Engagement Coordinator (Group Role)

Salary: £31,493.00 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Contract: FTC (12 months)

Contract Type: All year round

In this busy and exciting role, you will champion student voice, inclusion and engagement across both the Peterborough and Stamford campuses. You will play a central role in ensuring students actively participate in shaping their educational experience, empowering student representatives and leaders to influence decision-making and drive positive change across the Group.

Working closely with students, curriculum teams, support services, senior leaders and external partners, you will coordinate a wide range of engagement activities, campaigns, enrichment opportunities and initiatives that promote participation, inclusion and belonging. You will also be responsible for strengthening communication channels, supporting democratic processes and ensuring student feedback leads to meaningful action.

This is a highly visible and rewarding role where you will help create an outstanding student experience by developing innovative approaches to engagement, supporting vulnerable and underrepresented learners, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to be heard and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the Student Representative system across Peterborough and Stamford campuses.
• Recruit, train and support Student Representatives and Student Union members.
• Organise student elections, forums, campaigns and engagement activities.
• Ensure student feedback is captured, escalated and influences decision-making.
• Coordinate student participation in surveys and consultation activities.
• Develop and deliver inclusion initiatives for disadvantaged and vulnerable student groups.
• Plan and support group-wide guest speakers, enrichment events and campaigns.
• Maintain student engagement communications, newsletters, digital platforms and social media content.
• Monitor participation levels and produce reports evaluating engagement activity.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum, wellbeing, safeguarding, EDI and quality teams to enhance the student experience.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and student-focused professional who is passionate about empowering young people and ensuring their voices are heard. You will have experience working with students or young people, delivering excellent customer service and coordinating projects, events or engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information with discretion and working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.

You will be educated to Level 3 or above in a relevant subject and have strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications. Experience of student engagement, student representation systems, democratic processes or Students' Union activities would be advantageous, as would experience producing communications and using social media platforms to engage audiences.
