About the Role
As an IT Lecturer, you will provide high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners across our Computing programmes, ranging from Level 1 to Level 3, including diplomas and T‑Levels. Your responsibilities include:
- Planning, preparing and developing engaging schemes of work, session plans and learning resources.
- Delivering and assessing essential knowledge and practical skills within the Computing curriculum.
- Creating individual SMART learning targets linked to each student’s study programme to encourage progression.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on student progress, implementing interventions to support achievement.
- Utilising technology and innovative curriculum delivery methods to maximise learning effectiveness.
- Participating in internal verification and moderation processes to maintain high quality standards.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date subject knowledge and engaging with educational research to develop evidence‑based teaching practices.
About You
- Holds a relevant degree or professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Has a teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, CertEd or equivalent) or is willing to work towards one with our support.
- Has a strong understanding of current IT industry trends, technologies and curriculum requirements (experience with T‑Levels is advantageous).
- Is highly motivated, creative and adaptable in the classroom, with a learner‑focused approach.
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team to drive student success.
