Stamford College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GCSE Maths Lecturer to join our team and help learners build the mathematical knowledge, confidence and skills they need to succeed.

About the role
As a GCSE Maths Lecturer, you will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and effective teaching and learning. You will create a positive learning environment, develop high-quality resources and assessments, and provide learners with constructive feedback and clear targets to support their progress.
You will play an important role in motivating and inspiring learners, adapting your teaching to meet diverse needs and making effective use of technology and blended learning approaches. You will also contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging GCSE Maths sessions using a range of teaching methods.
- Developing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
- Assessing learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Setting and monitoring targets to support learner progress and achievement.
- Adapting teaching approaches to meet different learner needs.
- Building positive relationships with learners and supporting their progression.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
About you
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, well organised and committed to making a real difference to learners.
You will ideally have:
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed or PGCE, or equivalent.
- A qualification appropriate to teaching Maths.
- Experience of teaching and supporting learners.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to adapt your teaching to meet different learner needs.
- A commitment to continuing professional development and effective teaching practice.
