You’ll play an important role in supporting prospective and current students throughout their journey with us, from their first enquiry through to application, enrolment and beyond. By providing outstanding customer service, impartial information, advice and guidance, you’ll help applicants find the right course, access the support they need and feel confident about their future.

This is a varied, people-focused role where your communication skills, attention to detail and ability to build positive relationships will help us deliver an excellent student experience and achieve our recruitment ambitions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Information, Advice & Guidance: Provide impartial advice to help prospective and current students choose courses that match their interests, skills and aspirations.

  • Applications & Enrolment: Coordinate application activities, interviews, onboarding and enrolment, ensuring applicants receive timely support throughout the process.

  • Student Support: Guide students through bursaries, financial support, transport arrangements and other services, working with specialist teams where needed.

  • Customer Experience: Respond to enquiries, resolve queries and provide a welcoming, supportive experience for students and their families.

  • Administration & Data: Maintain accurate records, monitor application and enrolment information, and help identify opportunities to improve recruitment outcomes.

About you

You’ll be an excellent communicator who enjoys working with people and can balance a busy workload while maintaining high standards of service and accuracy.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in an administrative and customer-facing role.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • The ability to provide supportive, non-judgemental advice and guidance.

  • Confidence working independently, using initiative and contributing positively to a team.

  • The ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.

  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and helping every student feel welcome and supported.

Experience in a post-16 education environment and knowledge of student record systems would be advantageous.

Why work for IEG?

  • Generous Leave: Up to 43 days annual leave per year, including Bank Holidays and Christmas close (pro-rata for part-time staff).
  • Competitive Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), including life assurance and death-in-service benefits
  • Health and Wellbeing: Benefit from a gym, free on-site parking, access to employee assistance programme and a friendly team atmosphere
  • Professional Development: Ongoing training and development opportunities, including sponsorship for HE/professional qualifications
  • Employee Benefits and Rewards: Vivup employee benefits, including lifestyle savings, eligibility to apply for a Blue Light Card, providing access to a wide range of national discounts
