In this busy and exciting role, you will lead the development of IEG's people systems, workforce analytics and digital people services capability. You will play a pivotal role in transforming workforce data into meaningful insight, enabling evidence-based decisions that support strategic priorities, workforce planning and organisational growth.
Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the Group, you will develop workforce reporting, dashboards and predictive analytics that provide valuable intelligence across recruitment, retention, engagement, equality, diversity and inclusion, talent management and organisational development.
You will also drive the continuous improvement of people systems, digital solutions and automation, ensuring accurate, accessible and actionable workforce data is available to support operational excellence and an outstanding employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop workforce analytics, reporting and insight to support the People Plan and wider organisational priorities.
- Create and maintain workforce KPIs, dashboards and performance measures.
- Provide strategic workforce insight, trend analysis and predictive analytics for senior leaders.
- Identify workforce risks, opportunities and emerging trends through data analysis.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and talent management initiatives.
- Analyse workforce demographics, skills profiles and future workforce requirements.
- Lead the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of people systems and digital solutions.
- Drive automation, self-service capabilities and workflow improvements.
- Produce statutory workforce returns, benchmarking reports and pay gap reporting.
- Ensure workforce data quality, governance, GDPR compliance and reporting accuracy.
What we’re looking for
You will be an analytically minded professional with significant experience of workforce analytics, people systems and business intelligence. You will have strong data analysis skills, advanced Excel capability and experience creating impactful Power BI dashboards that turn complex information into meaningful insight.
The successful candidate will be confident working with senior leaders, providing evidence-based recommendations that support workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and strategic decision-making. You will also possess excellent project management skills and experience supporting systems development, process improvement or digital transformation initiatives.
A degree-level qualification (or equivalent relevant experience) in People Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or a related discipline is essential. Experience of SQL programming is required, while knowledge of iTrent and the Further Education sector would be advantageous.
