Do you enjoy helping people achieve their goals and reach their full potential? We're looking for a motivated and supportive Apprenticeship Coach to join our Apprenticeships Team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in apprenticeships, training, assessment, mentoring, coaching or industry who is passionate about supporting learners to succeed.

About the Role

As an Apprenticeship Coach, you'll manage your own caseload of apprentices, acting as a key point of contact throughout their apprenticeship journey. You'll be responsible for conducting regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers, setting meaningful targets and identifying any support required to help learners achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of apprentices across a range of programmes.
  • Conducting regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
  • Setting SMART targets and monitoring progress against agreed actions.
  • Coaching and motivating apprentices to achieve their learning and career goals.
  • Working collaboratively with Skills Trainers, Assessors, Mentors and Curriculum Teams.
  • Identifying barriers to achievement and implementing effective interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation using OneFile.
  • Supporting employer engagement and strengthening employer relationships.
  • Monitoring learner progress and highlighting risks to timely achievement.
  • Signposting apprentices to wellbeing, pastoral and additional support services where required.
  • Promoting a positive learning culture and supporting learner development.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and supporting others to succeed. You will ideally have:

  • Experience within apprenticeships, work-based learning, training, coaching, mentoring or assessment.
  • Experience working within a vocational or industry setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • The ability to motivate, encourage and challenge learners to achieve their goals.
  • Confidence working with employers and building professional relationships.
  • Good digital skills and experience maintaining accurate records.

A qualification in assessment and quality assurance is desirable, although support may be available for candidates willing to work towards relevant qualifications.
