Are you a creative professional who wants to inspire the next generation of designers? Stamford College is looking for a passionate and innovative Graphic Design Lecturer to join our Creative Industries team. Whether you're an experienced lecturer or a practising designer looking to take your first step into education, this is an exciting opportunity to share your industry expertise and help shape the careers of aspiring creatives.

We're looking for someone with strong graphic design knowledge, a passion for creativity and experience using industry-standard software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD.

About the Role

You will teach and support learners across a range of Level 3 Creative and Graphic Design programmes. Working within a vibrant and supportive curriculum area, you'll help students develop the creative, technical and professional skills needed to progress into higher education and careers within the creative industries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
  • Teaching graphic design principles, creative processes and industry practices.
  • Supporting learners to develop professional portfolios and project work.
  • Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback.
  • Using industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Developing innovative learning resources and digital content.
  • Supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress successfully.
  • Participating in course development, recruitment activities and open events.
  • Maintaining strong links with current industry practice and emerging creative trends.

About You

We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • Experience working within Graphic Design, Digital Design, Branding, Marketing, Creative Media or a related creative industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD.
  • A passion for creativity and developing emerging talent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Previous teaching experience is welcomed but is not essential.

We recognise that some of the strongest candidates may come directly from industry. If you have professional graphic design experience and are interested in moving into education, we will support you in developing your teaching skills and gaining relevant teaching qualifications where required.
