We are seeking reliable, professional and approachable Civil Enforcement Officers to join our Parking Services team. These roles are essential to ensuring the smooth operation of parking across the city, supporting safe, fair and compliant use of our roads and car parks.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will play a key frontline role, patrolling designated areas, engaging positively with the public and other stakeholders, as well as enforcing parking regulations in accordance with national legislation and local policies. You will help maintain the free flow of traffic, improve road safety, and support the effective management of parking spaces across Peterborough. This role will require you to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team, using mobile technology to monitor parking activity, issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), record evidence, and report defects or issues within the service area. This role also includes assisting customers in our car parks, supporting multi-agency operations, and contributing to wider enforcement and regulatory initiatives. You will report to a Civil Enforcement Specialist - Supervisor working as part of a 20 officer team.
The Parking Services team cover all duties related to parking, such as permits, bay suspensions, disabled badges, issuing of Penalty Charge Notices, patrolling and management of on and off street locations, reviewing moving traffic contravention footage, appeals and other duties.
