If so, keep reading to see if you could be a fit for the Social Worker role within our new Childrens Social Work Centre of Professional Excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of Social Workers whilst developing your own career trajectory towards a Senior Practitioner role. Whilst not directly holding a caseload, you would be fundamental in supporting early careers social workers to develop their practice, passing on and sharing your own practice expertise and wisdom. You will be expected to support over the whole service. For example, supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers during their Assessed and Supported Year of Employment. In undertaking this role, you will have the opportunity to develop the next stage of your professional career. This will include Practice Education training and access to a range of learning and professional development opportunities. You will value a model that gives a stable base for newly qualified social workers to transition from Centre for Professional Excellence case holding support to their permanent social work teams. You will use your experience to guide people and help them learn, supporting them to fill in the gaps using relevant policies and procedures, up to date research and evidence- based decision making. The role includes coaching and mentoring, designing and delivering training, working with local Universities to support students on placement within Children and Families Services. Within this role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement journey for Peterborough, helping develop the new Centre for Professional Excellence Model to get the very best outcomes for children, young people and their families.
