Your Practice

As part of our close-knit litigation team, you\’ll manage a diverse and intellectually stimulating caseload that makes a real difference to people\’s lives:

  • Judicial Review expertise – Handle challenging JR cases, particularly in housing, homelessness, and adult social care
  • Varied civil litigation – From contract disputes to regulatory matters, you\’ll never be bored with the breadth of work
  • Balanced court attendance – Approximately once monthly, giving you the best of both worlds – advocacy experience without overwhelming court commitments

What You\’ll Do

  • Provide robust legal advice across the full spectrum of civil litigation matters
  • Manage judicial review proceedings, with particular focus on housing and ASC
  • Handle homelessness appeals and housing-related disputes
  • Represent the Council in various courts and tribunals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to provide practical solutions
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, and complex legal documents
  • Instruct and work alongside external counsel on complex matters
