Peter Symonds College is one of the largest sixth form colleges in the country and is situated in Winchester, Hampshire. The Adult & Higher Education Division (AHED) responds to the diverse needs of the wider adult community. Our programme for adults ranges from the development of essential, basic skills, courses for fun and leisure, through to foundation and full honours degrees. AHED aims to provide a second chance for many and the opportunity to advance both in the workplace, socially and academically.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to teach history on the Access to HE programme. A degree in history (or closely related subject) is essential, together with team working skills and an empathy for students. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of teaching adults in small to medium size classes.
The successful candidate can choose from the following topic areas:
- Conflict and Change in Europe and the World (18 credits)
- Early Modern English History (18 credits)
- Britain in the 19th Century (18 credits)
- Exploring History (18 credits)
