Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester that is proud to be rated by Ofsted as 'outstanding' in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the end-to-end payroll and pension functions for our payroll of approximately 800 staff. Reporting to the Director of Personnel, you will ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll, manage Teachers' Pensions and LGPS administration, and maintain full compliance with payroll, pension and HMRC legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Close working with Personnel, Finance, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Production of statutory returns and year-end processes.
- Support for audits and workforce reporting.
Applicants should have substantial payroll experience, strong technical knowledge, exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience within education and relevant professional qualifications are desirable.
