We are seeking a Teacher of Geography to join our college on a full-time or part-time basis. The position is available from April, although a September start will also be considered.

Salary: £33,465 - £51,714 per annum FTE

Hours: Full or Part time

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: April 2026 / September 2026

About the College: Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which is proud to be rated by Ofsted as outstanding in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.

The Geography teaching team is dedicated and enthusiastic, with eight members of staff working with nearly 500 students. The teaching team is highly experienced and qualified, with a strongly collaborative approach. Alongside delivery of the AQA A level specification, students participate in a broad range of additional activities both on site and in the form of fieldwork.

We have a rare opportunity for someone to join the team, working full or part time, ideally starting in April 2026. Although we would consider an Autumn term start. The successful applicant will have a degree in Geography or a closely allied subject, with an enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to share that with our students. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
