My client is a food waste processing company based in Rushden, and they require a Plant Technician who can identify and resolve technical faults (Electrical or mechanical) on a temp to perm basis.
The role is to maintain the plant using the most cost-effective work methodology resulting in the highest up time possible. The role is to work within company work procedures and protocols and to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances.
Although the ideal person will have worked in a similar environment (such as Water) and have extensive experience of pump repairs and maintenance routines, someone in the car industry who is looking to use their transferable skills to enter the renewables space could adapt to this job.
Ideally, you will also have a variety of industry-related qualifications and experience such as NEBOSH, confined spaces, working at heights, PLC controls, etc. You will also need a full driving license and ideally a Telehandler license.
Hours of work are likely to be 40 hrs per week Monday to Friday. Start and finish times to be confirmed but could be rotating early and late shifts or on a shift pattern.
The work environment is smelly as you will be working within a food waste processing environment. Full PPE will be provided.
