Due to sustained growth and increased workload—particularly within our AMP8 framework agreements—we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background. This is an excellent opportunity to join our integrated project delivery team and lead complex, multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects. You will be accountable for the successful end-to-end delivery of projects—ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple ongoing projects (up to £10 million in value).
- Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects.
- Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and achieving target margins.
- Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen.
- Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Chair and lead project meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions.
- Manage change control and client expectations through effective communication and risk management.
- Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost-effective, and buildable solutions.
- Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams.
- Ensure all necessary method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained.
- Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules.
