Peter Duffy Limited, part of United Infrastructure, is seeking a Senior SHEQ Advisor to lead health and safety, environmental and quality initiatives on projects in the Yorkshire region.
Responsibilities
- Undertake periodic risk assessments and implement robust procedures as required.
- Provide specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues and subcontractors.
- Ensure contracts are compliant and embed positive behaviours in day‑to‑day operations.
- Coach and motivate teams, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and influence skills at all levels.
- Recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and coordinate or ensure their implementation.
- Develop and deliver training/briefing material in an engaging and effective manner.
- Use auditing and root‑cause analysis techniques to identify patterns of resistance and solve problems.
- Maintain a current good understanding of CDM regulations relating to client, principal designer and principal contractor roles.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma and considerable relevant construction/SHE water‑industry experience.
- Ability to identify and assess risk patterns, and to develop preventive action.
- Current full UK driving licence.
