The Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst provides clinical supervision to frontline clinicians and consultation for complex clinical intervention, including intrusive behavioural intervention strategies. Services will include assessment, treatment and therapeutic programming, clinical consultation, program evaluation, training, education, and research activities within a variety of settings throughout CHEO’s region of Eastern Ontario including homes, community settings and group homes. Travel, and evening and weekend work should be an expectation of the position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree of Applied Disabilities Studies, Psychology or in a related field (Essential)
  • Maintain good standing as a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (Essential)
  • Meet all eligibility requirements for being listed as a qualified provider on the Ontario Autism Program Provider list as of April 2021 or in the process of obtaining (Essential)
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification (Essential)
  • Five (5) years recent related experience in a behavioural management consultant position or equivalent experience (e.g., five years recent experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis in community program for persons with a developmental delay) (Essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis and its application (Essential)
  • Previous experience providing clinical supervision (Essential)
  • Clinical skills that demonstrate competence in assessment with children, youths and their families (Essential)
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills (Essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to receive and incorporate feedback (Essential)
  • Knowledge of community resources for children and youth with special needs (Essential)
  • Computer literacy with clinical applications (especially Microsoft Office, Excel) (Essential)
  • Ability to provide services in a culturally sensitive environment (Essential)
  • Valid Ontario’s driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel from site to site and to multiple community-based visits on a daily basis is required (Essential)
  • Ability to travel to provide service to clients throughout all of Renfrew (Essential)
  • Ability to attend last-minute meetings in Renfrew (Essential)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Level 3) (Essential)
  • Bilingualism (French/English) (Preferred)
