The Associate Director for HTA will lead UK specific strategies to secure positive recommendations from HTA bodies such as NICE, SMC, and AWMSG, ensuring timely and successful market access for Petauris products. This role requires expertise in UK health policy, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • HTA Strategy & Submissions
    • Develop and execute UK HTA strategies aligned with product lifecycle and NHS priorities
    • Lead preparation and delivery of HTA submissions to NICE, SMC, AWMSG, and other UK bodies
    • Ensure compliance with UK HTA guidelines and evolving regulations, including NICE methods updates
  • Evidence Generation & Analysis
    • Identify evidence gaps and design UK-specific cost-effectiveness and budget impact models
    • Oversee systematic literature reviews and economic modelling tailored to UK payer requirements
    • Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate UK HTA needs into trial design and evidence planning
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with NICE, NHS England, and devolved nation HTA agencies
    • Provide strategic input to UK pricing and reimbursement negotiations
    • Engage with external experts, patient advocacy groups, and policy stakeholders
  • Leadership & Advocacy
    • Represent Petauri in UK HTA consultations and scientific advice meetings
    • Educate internal teams on UK HTA trends, NHS policy changes, and implications for access

  • External associates (e.g., key opinion leaders, publication authors)

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely completion of project paperwork (i.e., by the end of each week).
  • Ensure appropriate and timely communication with line manager and project team colleagues
  • Ensure attendance during normal working hours.
  • Adhere to filing structures, maintaining organised project folders with appropriate versions of files.
  • Ensure awareness of, and adherence to, policies, standards, and best practice, of relevance to role.
  • Work with the senior HTA team members to ensure that work is won and delivered to meet commercial targets and strategic goals.
