The Opportunity
This role as a Trainee IT Technical Trainer is designed as a development pathway into IT training. You’ll start by building confidence and capability as a trainer, gradually progressing to delivering high-quality IT training to apprentices and corporate learners.

Your Role
As a Trainee IT Technical Trainer, you will learn how to deliver engaging and effective IT training while continuing to develop your own technical and teaching skills.
Training & Delivery
- Learn to deliver IT training across classroom, virtual, and digital platforms
- Observe experienced trainers and gradually take responsibility for sessions
- Develop the confidence to explain technical concepts to learners with different experience levels
- Adapt delivery styles to suit different learning needs
Curriculum & Content Development
- Support the development and updating of training materials, lesson plans, and presentations
- Learn how to design engaging and accessible learning content
- Help tailor programmes to meet employer and learner needs
Learner Support & Assessment
- Learn how to assess learner work and provide constructive feedback
- Support learners with technical questions and troubleshooting
- Build skills in coaching, mentoring, and learner progression
Innovation & Digital Learning
- Gain exposure to modern digital learning tools and platforms
- Contribute ideas to improve and modernise IT training delivery

About You
The Trainee IT Technical Trainer role is ideal if you:
- Have experience working in IT Support or a technical IT role
- Enjoy helping others learn and succeed
- Have working knowledge of areas such as: Servers and system administration, Networking and cyber security, understanding of Python or scripting concepts
- Are looking for a long-term career move into teaching or training
- Are motivated to learn new skills and gain formal teaching qualifications
- Possess strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Have any informal training, mentoring, or coaching experience
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
