PETA is looking to expand its network of Freelance Associate Lift Truck Trainers to support continued business growth and the delivery of national client contracts. If you are an experienced Lift Truck or Mechanical Handling Instructor looking for flexible freelance opportunities with nationwide delivery, we want to hear from you. This is a freelance/self-employed role, delivering training at customer sites across the UK on an assignment basis.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced Health & Safety training team, you will deliver high-quality accredited and non-accredited mechanical handling training courses to corporate clients nationwide. Training assignments will primarily involve:
- Counterbalance Lift Truck training
- Reach Truck training
- Refresher and conversion training
- Novice and experienced operator instruction
- Practical operator assessments
- Associated theory and practical testing
There may also be opportunities to deliver additional courses such as:
- Overhead crane
- Slinging and lifting
- Pedestrian Stacker
- Plant and equipment safety training
Due to the nationwide nature of our client base, trainers must be prepared to travel throughout the UK and stay overnight where required.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed within our associate trainer network, you will need excellent communication skills, a professional approach, and the ability to deliver engaging and effective practical training. Applicants should possess:
- Proven experience delivering Lift Truck and mechanical handling training
- ITSAR, RTITB or NPORS accreditation
- Strong practical operational knowledge
- Excellent delegate engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence
The following would also be advantageous:
- PTLLS, AET or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience delivering overhead crane or slinging & lifting training
- Experience working within industrial/manufacturing environments
