Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional with a passion for delivering engaging, practical training? Due to continued growth and the mobilisation of national client contracts, PETA’s Health & Safety team is looking to expand its network of freelance Associate Trainers and Advisors to support training delivery across the UK. This is a freelance/self-employed opportunity offering flexible assignment-based work delivering training and advisory services at client sites nationwide.

About the opportunity

Working as part of our established Health & Safety team, you will support the delivery of high-quality training and consultancy services to a wide range of corporate clients across multiple sectors. Assignments may include:

  • Delivery of accredited and non-accredited Health & Safety training courses
  • Client site visits and advisory support
  • Auditing and compliance support
  • Toolbox talks and practical safety coaching
  • Supporting national contract delivery requirements

Training delivery will primarily take place at client sites throughout the UK, therefore applicants must be comfortable with regular nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays where required.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking motivated and professional trainers/advisors who can engage confidently with delegates from a wide range of industries and experience levels. Applicants should ideally possess:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Practical experience within a Health & Safety role
  • Experience delivering Health & Safety training courses
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt delivery style to different audiences
  • Full UK driving licence

The following would also be advantageous:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Teaching/training qualification (PTLLS, AET or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering training within industrial or manufacturing environments

This is a freelance/self-employed position, and trainers will be engaged on an assignment basis according to business requirements. Applicants must be willing to travel nationwide to support client delivery requirements. Successful applicants will be required to comply with safeguarding requirements and may be subject to DBS checks where appropriate. Our commitment to safeguarding our learners is paramount.
