Following continued growth across our Digital and Technology provision, we are excited to recruit a Digital Learning and Development Coach to drive excellence across our digital apprenticeship programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity not only for experienced digital learning professionals, but also for individuals with extensive experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support who are looking to take the next step in their career and transition into learning, coaching and development.

This role offers the chance to shape curriculum innovation, embed digital-first delivery models, and ensure our provision reflects the evolving needs of employers in a rapidly changing digital economy.

About the opportunity

As our Digital Learning & Development Coach, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality digital learning experiences across our apprenticeship standards. You will split your time between supporting learners in the workplace and contributing to curriculum delivery at our training centres, ensuring digital capability is embedded in real-world contexts:

  • Support and mentor a caseload of digital apprentices, guiding progression across modern digital standards including infrastructure, cyber security, software, data and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation, embedding AI tools, automation, cloud platforms and digital collaboration technologies into delivery.
  • Champion digital-first pedagogy, leveraging blended learning, LMS platforms, interactive tools and immersive learning approaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and support continuous improvement in line with Ofsted, DfE and awarding body requirements.
  • Work closely with the Training Manager to support audits, standardisation, moderation and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress, reviews and performance, supporting data-driven decision making.
  • Act as a digital ambassador, keeping up to date with emerging trends to ensure our learning remains industry relevant and future focused.

You are more than an IT professional; you understand how technology is transforming industries and are excited to pass that knowledge on to others. Whether you come from a learning background or a hands-on technical role such as 2nd or 3rd line support, you are ready to support and develop the next generation of digital talent. You are confident working with modern technologies such as AI tools, cloud-based systems, data platforms and automation, and are motivated by helping others grow.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a digital or technology role (e.g. infrastructure, cyber security, software, data, cloud or related disciplines).
  • For career changers: strong hands-on experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support with a desire to move into coaching and development.
  • Understanding of current digital industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn digital learning tools (e.g. LMS platforms, collaboration tools, AI-supported learning).
  • Strong communication, organisational and digital record-keeping skills.
  • Experience in or understanding apprenticeship or compliance-driven environments (desirable, not essential).
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
