Kelvion is seeking an adaptable IT Support apprentice to bridge the gap between our business operations and technical infrastructure. In this role, you will maintain our IT systems while simultaneously co-ordinating key project milestones across diverse business teams.

Training to be provided: Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 22-month apprenticeship which includes 25 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.

About the role: The IT Support Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Stakeholder Co-ordination: Manage a wide network of business stakeholders. Assess their influence and align their expectations with ongoing business changes.
  • Project Tracking: Guide initiatives through the project lifecycle. Document project stages, maintain precise records, and log project progression.
  • IT Infrastructure Support: Set up new hardware, maintain existing equipment, and upgrade current systems to the latest versions.
  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve operating system, network, and hardware issues across Windows 11, Cisco, and Dell environments.
  • Mobile Device Management: Manage and troubleshoot corporate Android mobile devices.
  • Issue Logging: Track daily work accurately, document technical issues, and record the solutions found.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as the primary link between business units and the IT department to ensure seamless cooperation.

Essential Skills:

  • GCSE in Maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to relate confidently and effectively to staff at all levels of the business.
  • Customer Service: Strong telephone manner and a customer-centric approach to support.
  • Work Management: Proven ability to manage your own workload independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.

The successful application must be 18+ years old due to security clearance and potential travel outside of the UK.
