About The Role

Do you have a strong eye for detail and enjoy hands on, practical work? G3S Group are looking to recruit a motivated Production & Warehouse Operator Engineering Apprentice to join their busy team. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop core skills in both production and warehouse operations, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast paced environment.

Training to be provided

As a Production & Warehouse Operator Engineering Apprentice, your apprenticeship with G3S Group Ltd will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. Your apprenticeship programme includes working towards a Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations. Overall duration 18 months.

About the role

G3S Group Ltd are looking for someone who is motivated and hard-working to join their growing business. Joining the team at G3S Group Ltd as a Production & Warehouse Operator Engineering Apprentice, you will be responsible for operating coating, slitting, conversion, and packing equipment used in the manufacture of wide-format printable materials, thermal films, laminates, and related products. The role supports the complete production process from coating and conversion through packing, warehousing, and dispatch preparation.

Your main responsibilities on the job will be:

  • Operate coating, slitting, rewinding, conversion, and packing equipment
  • Apply coatings and convert master rolls into finished products
  • Monitor product quality and perform in-process inspections
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain production specifications
  • Load and handle large substrate rolls safely
  • Carry out machine changeovers, cleaning, and routine maintenance
  • Complete production, quality, and traceability records
  • Pack, label, wrap, strap, and palletise finished goods
  • Assist with stock control, goods‑in/goods‑out, and inventory activities
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures

Essential skills

To be considered for the role of a Production & Warehouse Operator Engineering Apprentice, you will have an interest in technical/practical work and have a passion to work in the engineering industry. You will also require the following skills and qualifications:
