PETA Ltd are excited and proud to be working with QVIS Lighting and Security to recruit and train a Purchase Ledger Assistant Apprentice to support their finance team and wider business.
Training to be provided:
Level 2 Finance/Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 1 day per week at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6-8 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with the in-house Procurement team and contribute to the efficient operations of the business. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the purchase ledger inbox
- Process purchase ledger invoices – foreign and domestic
- Manage and maintain supplier statement reconciliations
- Contact suppliers regarding invoice queries or missing credit notes
- Process personal expenses
- Run weekly/monthly BACS/foreign payment runs
- General accounts support
- Ensure that all deadlines are met within set timeframes
What are the career prospects?
Once you have completed the Level 2 AAT Apprenticeship, there would be the opportunity to complete the Level 3 apprenticeship and further learning and development.

It is essential that the Purchase Ledger Assistant Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:
- GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required
