This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop core skills in both production and warehouse operations, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.
As a Production & Warehouse Operator Engineering Apprentice, your apprenticeship with G3S Group Ltd will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. Your apprenticeship programme includes working towards a Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations. Overall duration is 18 months.
G3S Group Ltd are looking for someone who is motivated and hard-working to join their growing business. You will be responsible for operating coating, slitting, conversion, and packing equipment used in the manufacture of wide-format printable materials, thermal films, laminates, and related products. The role supports the complete production process from coating and conversion through packing, warehousing, and dispatch preparation.
Your main responsibilities on the job will be:
- Operate coating, slitting, rewinding, conversion, and packing equipment
- Apply coatings and convert master rolls into finished products
- Monitor product quality and perform in-process inspections
- Adjust machine settings to maintain production specifications
- Load and handle large substrate rolls safely
- Carry out machine changeovers, cleaning, and routine maintenance
- Complete production, quality, and traceability records
- Pack, label, wrap, strap, and palletise finished goods
- Assist with stock control, goods-in/goods-out, and inventory activities
- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
