About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the PETA team as an Apprenticeship Recruiter (Engineering) at our head office in Portsmouth. This role offers hybrid working, with the option to be office-based three days a week and home-based two days a week.
Our Recruitment Team
Our team focuses on providing first-class advice and guidance to apprenticeship job seekers, supporting them throughout their application journey. The team comprises four recruiters specializing in different apprenticeship areas, supported by a dedicated resourcer and overseen by our Recruitment Manager.
Your New Role
Joining the Apprenticeship Recruitment team, the successful Engineering Recruiter will be responsible for engaging employers and recruiting potential apprentices to fill various apprenticeship vacancies. This involves working closely with sales, business development, and marketing teams.
In your role, you will:
- Engage with current clients to introduce additional services and meet placement targets, including traveling to client sites for paperwork completion.
- Provide excellent service to employers as the main contact throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage vacancies for seasonal periods such as spring and autumn.
- Support business development efforts to generate apprenticeship vacancies within the engineering industry.
- Sourcing quality applicants to meet KPIs for filling vacancies.
- Match candidates to vacancies, guiding both employers and candidates through the process.
- Manage sign-up event planning for engineering apprenticeship cohorts.
- Support with career fairs and school events, sometimes outside standard hours.

To qualify, you should demonstrate a successful track record in managing recruitment campaigns, be highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently. The following qualities are essential:
- Experience in internal recruitment roles.
- Administrative experience in industries like construction or engineering is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the engineering industry is highly advantageous.
- Ability to meet KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and personable demeanor.
- IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Good written English skills.
- Efficient and proactive approach.
