About the Role: As an English Expert with PET-Xi, you’ll be part of a highly enthusiastic team delivering motivational, intensive GCSE English programmes to young learners who need extra support. Working alongside a Classroom Lead, you’ll bring lessons to life using our pre-designed, engaging resources, ensuring students make rapid and confident progress. This role is self-employed, with regular work available across the UK. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, high-energy English sessions using PET-Xi’s proven methods and resources
- Motivate and inspire young learners to achieve defined learning outcomes
- Adapt teaching style to suit individual learning needs and group dynamics
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with your Classroom Lead and wider team
- Mark assessments quickly and accurately
- Use Microsoft Office confidently for basic tasks and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications (recommended):- QTS or working towards it
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience engaging and supporting young people
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management
- Ability to adapt teaching methods at pace
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own diary
- Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Team-focused, reliable, and high-energy with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Comfortable working to deadlines
