Our Group:

At Pet Practice we are an exciting, independent, growing veterinary group that’sbeen givinga fresh look to working in the veterinary sectorfor the past fifteen years now. We are not a corporate focused on profit to the detriment of its clients and staff.With thirteen practices neitherare we a small independent at risk from competition or takeover. We have the security of being a sizeable veterinary group but with the benefits and personal touch of being family owned. Independent is what we love and how we will remain. We do not lock our staff into working for us under the premise of joint venture and other hidden restrictions. At Pet Practice we lead the way in the packages we offer our staff and are proud that all the income we earn as a team is invested back into our staff and the facilities they work in. We’ve led the way in the salaries we offer, led the way in theholidayour nurses and vets can take at up to six weeks per annum and schedule major refits on all our clinics every ten years to keep them fresh. Whilst an ongoing schedule of investment is of paramount importance to us we continue to grow alongside this having added three new practices to our group during the last eighteen months.

OurNewburyVacancy:

Come and work for us in this vibrant market town which is home to Newbury racecourse and surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the south of England.OurlovelyNewburysurgeryonlyopened last year.It has all the facilities you would expect of a modern practice including digital radiography, ultrasonographyandanIdexxin-house integrated laboratory.There are dedicated surgical facilities for both our use and that of our visiting ophthalmology / soft tissue / orthopaedic surgeons.

We need dynamicvets with at least twoyears’ experienceto come on boardand join our team.For now this initial shared rotais stillsole charge alongside our owner Ben, part-time vet Chloeandmedical plus surgical peripatetic Teams.Ben is looking for assistance with the building caseload.There isalsoalways plenty of support from ourtwentysurgeons andseventystaff across the groupas well as the on-site nurses.We really do all act as a team, something we’re proud of.

The Package:

  • Salary £50,000 to £80,000commensurate with experience and hours
  • Full-time = 4-day week and every thirdSaturday morning. Part-time hours also available
  • No on call, no working Sundays, no working bank holidays
  • Up to six weeks leave in addition to the above
