Our Group: At Pet Practice we are an exciting, independent, growing veterinary group that’s been giving a fresh look to working in the veterinary sector for the past fifteen years. We are not a corporate focused on profit to the detriment of its clients and staff. With thirteen practices neither are we a small independent at risk from competition or takeover. We have the security of being a sizeable veterinary group but with the benefits and personal touch of being family owned. Independent is what we love and how we will remain. We do not lock our staff into working for us under the premise of joint venture and other hidden restrictions. At Pet Practice we lead the way in the packages we offer our staff and are proud that all the income we earn as a team is invested back into our staff and the facilities they work in.

We’ve led the way in the salaries we offer, led the way in the holiday our nurses and vets can take at up to six weeks per annum and schedule major refits on all our clinics every ten years to keep them fresh. Whilst an ongoing schedule of investment is of paramount importance to us we continue to grow alongside this having added three new practices to our group during the last eighteen months. Our staff’s loyalty is built around mutual respect and working with your requirements to create a job role that is right for you. No on-call and flexible rotas ensure your work life balance leaves you fresh and enthusiastic.

Our Amersham Vacancy: Why not have the best of both worlds by working with us in the market town of Amersham. We are located in the beautiful Chiltern hills for those who enjoy the countryside but also on the Metropolitan underground for those weekend trips into London. Our lovely Amersham surgery only opened last year. It has all the facilities you would expect of a modern practice including digital radiography, ultrasonography and an Idexx in-house integrated laboratory. There are dedicated surgical facilities for both our use and that of our visiting orthopaedic surgeon. We need a dynamic, experienced vet to come on board and help our growing practice. Working alongside our other surgeon and also our visiting Peripatetic Team it is initially a sole-charge position. There is always plenty of support from our 25 clinicians and 100 staff across the group. We really do all act as a team, something we’re proud of.

The Package: £50,000- £80,000FTE salary commensurate with experience and hours. Part-time= 3 day week and every other Saturday morning. No on call, no working Sundays, no working bank holidays. Up to six weeks leave in addition to the above. Loyalty bonus scheme. Staff recruitment reward scheme. CPD encouraged with a generous budget. RCVS and VDS fees paid.
