An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Imaging department and we are currently seeking an Imaging Technician to provide support to our Vets and Nurses. We are looking for a passionate individual who is willing to go that extra mile to provide an outstanding level of service to our clients and their pets. No two days are the same at Northwest Referrals, that’s why we are looking for someone who can adapt at short notice, take on the challenges that come with working within practice and learn just exactly what steps go into diagnosing a pet's condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound and endoscopy.
  • Prepare and position animals safely and effectively for imaging procedures.
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and image documentation.
  • Assist veterinarians in interpreting images when required.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and clinical hygiene standards.
  • Carry out administrative responsibilities such as sending images off and handling reports.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients and clear communication to pet owners when appropriate.

What We’re looking for:

This role is for someone who wants to build a career within the Veterinary sector. You don’t need to have experience working within the veterinary industry for this to work. You could be a tech enthusiast who has a passion for animal welfare but hasn’t found a way to combine those two passions yet. You could also currently be in practice with a keen interest in diagnostic imaging. It isn’t experience we’re looking for, it’s the right mindset. We want to work with someone who is eager to learn new skills, put them to use and then find better, more efficient ways of working all whilst having the patient and their owner at the forefront of their mind. You will need to be a team player.
